BUILDING TALENT—FROM ENTRY LEVEL TO C LEVEL

ASCENT offers educational experiences that draw women into the progressive cycle of
learning and growth that characterizes every successful leader. Our executive leadership programs—tailored to three levels of experience—help our Executive Fellows prepare themselves for increasingly responsible roles in corporate America. Each program delivers appropriate skills and promotes awareness of workplace dynamics, accurate assessment of personal skills, and, most critically, the confidence to succeed. Programs include:
  • Navigating the Organization Helping high-potential women new to the workplace become socialized, teaching them how to navigate the corporate system for success
  • Mastering Management Providing women in the early years of management the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to be effective managers and assume leadership roles
  • Rising to the Top Guiding high-functioning women executives (director level and above) to C-level positions and board status
Every ASCENT executive leadership program is based upon and driven by the research of Professor Bell and other scholars as well as the insight of our corporate partners. Every program includes an international immersion component and company projects. And each Executive Fellow receives individual professional assessment which she uses to create a professional and personal development plan, aided by coaching and peer counseling.

All Executive Fellows are sponsored by their employers, our corporate partners.

BUILDING TALENT—CORPORATE BOARDS

Because no other factor advances the status of multicultural women throughout organizations more than their presence on boards of directors, ASCENT offers programs to prepare high-potential women for board service and to increase the effectiveness of women currently on boards. Our programs include progressive training and high-level mentoring as well extensive networking among women and between women and other corporate leaders.

BUILDING TALENT—THE TUCK ADVANTAGE

ASCENT executive leadership programs are offered in association with Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth. Tuck faculty involved in ASCENT programs are a diverse group, ensuring a greater degree of trust, openness, and authenticity in the learning process. ASCENT Executive Fellows work in same-race and cross-race groups, enabling them to gain confidence in organizational alliances.
