FINDING TALENT—THE DRYING PIPELINE
As the first wave of Baby Boomers retire and global markets expand, U.S. corporations face a critical shortage of talented managers. The traditional pipeline from entry level to C level is running dry. In this environment, multicultural women represent an untapped leadership resource, and they are eager to assume these roles.
Through widespread engagement programs and networking, ASCENT discovers talented women and brings them to the fore. Thanks to our narrow focus and broad resources, we operate at higher levels of effectiveness and cost-efficiency than most corporate human resources departments.
Our strategic alliances with organizations that support multicultural women offer us greater entrée to diverse talent resources. These groups include:
- The Executive Leadership Council
- Forté Foundation
- Hidden Brain Drain Task Force, Center for Work-Life Policy
- Management Leadership for Tomorrow
- MBA Consortium
- National Black MBA
- National Society of Hispanic MBAs
- Robert Toigo Foundation
FINDING TALENT—CORPORATE BOARD MATCHMAKING
Probably no single factor advances the status of multicultural women throughout organizations more than their presence on boards of directors. ASCENT facilitates access by corporate partners to the small, select pool of high-potential women qualified for board service. Through referral and networking—and through custom matchmaking—we help both sides make high-level connections.
